Join Us for the “Accessible Art” Event!
Exceptions Journal is excited to announce the grand opening of “Accessible Art,” an interactive art exhibition to be held at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University. The event will take place on April 14th from 7-9 p.m. at the museum (547 E Circle Dr, East Lansing, Michigan).
This exhibition is part of an exciting effort on the part of MSU to improve accessibility and make the museum more appealing to individuals who often would not otherwise attend an art exhibit. We have made every effort to ensure that the event is fully accessible, and have worked closely with MSU’s Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (RCPD). The evening will be hosted by the staff of Exceptions, an MSU-based literary journal that publishes creative work by individuals in the visually impaired community.
We at Exceptions see “Accessible Art” as an opportunity to engage our community, explore common interests among blind and sighted guests, and showcase the remarkable work produced by the talented and diverse student body at Michigan State University. We hope you will share our excitement and will join us on April 14th to celebrate inclusive arts!
